Friends and networks
Listed here are some of our friends and organisations that have links to the HLBC family – some involve members of our community, some we support as causes or campaigns, a few we support financially. They all hold a significance in our community life.
Eglise Kilibula Kakungwe – our friends Kilibula Baptist church in Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo.
WAST, Women Asylum Seekers Together – a small Leeds-based group giving support and a voice to female asylum seekers in the city.
Churches Together in Chapeltown and Harehills
Street Pastors – Trained volunteers, including from HLBC, go out into the local area during the night and provide company, support or whatever is needed to folk they meet, particularly young people.
Leeds TIDAL – works to support, coordinate and grow global activism in Leeds
Tearfund – we keep updated with Tearfund’s work and campaigns, and have an annual gift day for the organisation
